While the Northern Hemisphere prepares itself for autumn, those of us living south of the equator are noticing the first signs of spring.
My daughter presented me with this lovely bunch of flowers that she handpicked from our garden this morning and it brought home the fact that spring truly is on our doorstep. And that means summer is not far behind.
Ah….summer. Lazy days at the pool, walks in the park, eating outside…. Sun, friends and fun. Good times.
And apart from heralding the distant arrival of summer, spring also brings with it associations of new life, rejuvenation and change.
Quite appropriate, I’d say, as this month sees the launch of our new Etsy shop and this blog. Our passion for taking something old and discarded and giving it a fresh new function and purpose has finally birthed a new business venture – one which we hope will grow from strength to strength.
What better time to embark on a creative adventure? And, just as the start of spring speaks of the promise of summer to come, we see exciting and fulfilling times ahead.
